Azfer Naseem, CFA, has more than fourteen years of experience spanning across Equity Research, Corporate Finance and Private Equity In January '16, Azfer co-founded Akseer and assumed the role of CEO, leading the company's growth journey from its budding stages to a diversified client base in Research, Advisory, and Brokerage across 5 countries. Transitioning in January '21, Azfer assumed the position of Executive Director of Technology Platforms to focus his efforts on technology-led growth initiatives at Akseer. He also assumed the role of CEO at Alpha Capital, a leading corporate brokerage house and subsidiary of Akseer, in January '21.
Before founding Akseer, Azfer was associated with BMA Capital as the Director of Research and Business Development. During his tenure, he played a crucial role in expanding BMA's research coverage, enhancing client interaction, and improving corporate access. Additionally, Azfer was the team lead responsible for establishing a Private Equity division within the BMA Group. Furthermore, he served as an Advisor to the Board of Directors of BMA Funds, a subsidiary of BMA Capital, showcasing his multifaceted expertise and strategic acumen in the financial domain.

Prior to BMA Capital, Azfer was associated with Elixir Securities Pakistan as Head of Research, where he helped build a research team that won several domestic and international awards and accolades. He also helped revive the Corporate Finance department at Elixir towards the end of 2013, which subsequently executed privatization transactions worth more than USD1.5bn.

Azfer is a certified Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree with a specialization in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi. Mohsin Adhi is Director — Family Business Advisory at Akseer Research, advising high-net-worth individuals and family-owned businesses on wealth management, succession structuring, and legacy preservation. He brings this expertise from a career built primarily at Alpha Capital (Pvt) Limited, where he currently serves as Chief Executive Officer. He began his career as a sales trader at Alpha Capital in 2003, moving into Business Development leadership in 2007 and Regulatory Affairs in 2014, before becoming Company Secretary in 2016 and being appointed CEO in January 2026.
Alongside this corporate path, Mohsin built a parallel track in family business education and advisory: he served as faculty for the IBA Family Managed Business Diploma Program, and a customized workshop for IBA's Center for Executive Education on Wealth Management for Family Owned Businesses, covering family office structuring, trust-based custody arrangements, and shareholders' agreements. A second-generation family business owner himself, he brings a grounded, first-hand perspective to his advisory work with families and family offices. He holds an MS in Finance and Financial Law from SOAS, University of London, and an MBA from Bahria University, and holds the Certified Family Business Advisor (CFBA) and Certified Family Wealth Advisor (CFWA) designations from the Family Firm Institute (FFI), USA.
